Nice work, Geoff. I see an increasing trend of people Google Image Searching pictures and using them in their designs. It's typically interns or people fresh out of school, but I've seen some mid-level folks do it too. It's not typically thought of as stealing, it seems to be a bit from habit and a bit of ignorance.
