Today is a first (I think). We’ve done enough shows that I sometimes forget all that we’ve done, but I do not recall anyone ever bringing their client with them to a show. So, we speak to Lisa Vitale of Brand Hero, and her client Sarah Lewis of Cooking Matters in Omaha (part of the national Cooking Matters).
All that, and then Dyana Valentine brings us another great installment of “Dyana’s Valentine Notes”.
See you in a couple of weeks as we bring back Justin Ahrens of Rule29.
Hey Omaha area design friends! We think it’s time we meet some of you in person, and why not sooner than later? So, we’re introducing 36 Pints, a meet after work for a drink and/or bite to eat.
We mentioned it briefly on our Superb Owl iv podcast, we even set the date for the first two on air, but for those who prefer a written itinerary, here goes:
Upcoming 36 Pints
March 5, 2012; 4–7pm
Eleven19 (10 Year Open House / Celebration / Anniversary), Omaha
April 11, 2012; 5:30pm –
The Homy Inn, Omaha (food available from Sgt. Peffer’s across the street)
We plan on doing these on the 2nd Wednesday of each month – wait – I mean starting with the second one. I mean, I’ve had a total of one open house at the Eleven19 office, and we just set up a second to go along with being in business 10 years, so sometimes we just go with what is there.
We’ll be updating the list here as we add dates and times. Thanks, and hope to see you soon. Also, we’re happy to take suggestions on future locations.
And big thanks to Ben Lueders for the 36 Pints logo design. Because it’s not an event for designers without a custom logo, right?
Last Monday it was cold here in Omaha. We had half a foot of snow on the ground, and wait, same thing today, great. But what really got us excited to work was speaking with Dyana Valentine.
We covered a number of things between the creative bubble, not being sorry (at Trader Joe’s anyway, feel free to be sorry at Wally World), and speaking at 3 of the 4 HOW Live conferences in Boston this June (If 2 out of 3 ain’t bad, then Dyana is doing great).
Joined by co-host Ben Lueders, we bring you Dyana Valentine on Valentine’s Day. Enjoy.
Also, we bring (and we put in a chapter marker, so you can skip right to it if you prefer) what we hope will be a fairly regular feature through the rest of season 5, inspirational short tidbits from Dyana we’re calling “Dyana’s Valentine Note”.
What seems to, usually, most of the time, 60% of the time every time, be our most fun show to record is the yearly ad recap from the big game. Hey, we record it the night after the game, and launch it the day after that, so we may be two days behind some, but that’s how we do this every year, so without delay, or much more of one anyway, we bring you the Superb Owl Spectacular iv!
Oh yes, we break it down to five catecories before debating the “best”:
- Beverages / Food
- Retail / Online
- Whatever Else is Left in a Giant Grab Bag of Stuff
For those who enjoy some footnotes to go with the show:
- Will Ferrell’s commercial only shown in North Platte, Nebraska
- The 3 that ran in Davenport, Iowa
- Eleven19 – 10 Year Open House
- April 11th – The 1st 36 Pints event at 5:30 – The Homy Inn
- 5 Hours of Adriana Lima in 1080p
- Flavor Flav Hugging Tom Coughlin
