Youth Design with Denise Korn and Joseph Soto : The Reflex Blue Show #97
August 14th, 2012 |
Our 4th interview podcast from HOW Live (recorded in Boston), brings us two wonderful guests – Denise Korn and Joseph Soto.
Denise Korn of Korn Design has created a mentoring program for youth in the urban areas of Boston that are interested in design. And I mean, full on mentorships that include giving high school students a seven week paid internship as a graphic designer. I was blown away by what she is doing. And even more impressive ar some of the students that have gone through the Youth Design program. Joseph Soto is one the programs recent graduates, and also stopped by to discuss his experience, and what it has done for him already. Just a great, inspiring story. This is what they call making an impact.
Next week we’ll be back with Christopher Chapman of Disney.
